A Journey of Gratitude
Can I just start by saying that I am really grateful that I am nearing the end of the semester? I am grateful for all I have learned and accomplished. I am really grateful that I have been fairly successful in my school efforts. I am truly grateful for the experience of handling all I faced. I could have done better in the home life but I will admit it has been a very stressful semester. Remodeling and schooling aren't a good mix after just having moved, especially when I struggle with change and chaos.
As I studied the Randy Haykin case study, I was reminded about how important life balance is to others as well as myself. Even though that balance might not look like a perfect balance in each area of our life, it is striving to find balance that makes the most difference. Like Randy, when I seek for balance in all areas of my life, my work goes much more smoothly. As I seek Heavenly Father first in my day, I feel successful even if it wasn’t a perfect day according to accomplishing maybe every one of my things to do. But I feel like I was able to do more and feel a feeling of success. When I set limitations for what I will and will not do, I am able to better keep things in balance. There may be frustrations over the sacrifices made in order to keep that balance, but time has to be adjusted or that balance will slip.
I am grateful for this class and the life skills that have been taught. As we have gone through the semester, I have appreciated the weekly reminder of good life habits that were taught. I have grown as we learned and gleaned spiritual lessons along with understanding how to be an entrepreneur.
