Honestly, I am stressed

Some of my learning this week was from my Entrepreneurial class and a lot of my learning was from life. I suppose they all tie into each other, as experience is a learning experience. Life tends to toss us about and see what we do. Do we sink in the waves or rise up out of the water to swim hard toward the shore?

Honestly, it has been a crazy week. My house is a wreck. I am juggling two classes. My kids are working from home because of Covid. I have my son and fiancé staying with us. They have been here for an amazing visit, my son, almost 2 months, and his fiancé, almost a month. We have learned much as we have all vacationed together and then got into a routine of school and life together. Covid has affected everything and this is one positive way, we have had the ability to all be together with the flexibility of school being associated with the computer they carry about. The kids have all been amazing, as we have been adjusting to a new house and remodeling. If we haven’t scared my soon to be daughter-in-law off with the last several weeks, I think she will survive eternity! I am currently writing this waiting for my husband to bring home cabinets from Idaho. He braved the snowy pass over Donner (past Reno, NV) today. My kitchen is demolished with all the items on several white tables and in boxes about the house. We might have gotten the mold cleaned up behind the old cabinets, maybe. Yes, it has been a crazy week.

So what have I learned…. I have learned to be honest with everyone in my house. Honest that I am stressed. Honest that I may not be acting how I should. Honest that I need help. Honest with myself that I might not get the best grade this week. Does that all carry into a work situation? Absolutely, all of this week experiences helps me know that I can be honest with those I love first, and for all the others it will be a cinch to be honest.

Living a congruent life is empowering. I am who I am for those close to me and for those I may not know quite as well. I am not living a double life.
